The Global Change Master Directory protal enable GoMODP metadata to be treated as a single collection. The metadata editorial committee examines this metadata collection and advises partners on how to improve its quality. Partners are then expected to act on this advice by communicating and working with individual data centers managers and providers. To this end, early efforts were focused on developing a metadata portal with links between partners, data centers and providers. With these links now in place, editorial committee efforts are now focused on improving the citations contained in the metadata. In this folder are elements of a web report showing exactly what is missing from each and every data citation on the portal and then summarizing this by data center, partner and partnership as whole. Hot links to the GCMD and CGDI portals then take partners and providers directly to the trouble spots. The plan is to run the report at least quarterly.
